What is Dual Channel Memory ? How can I identify Single Channel and Dual Channel Memory modules separately ?
Memory modules (in kit form) are all the same.
Dual Channel memory refers to the way your motherboard uses the memory that is inserted into it.
Most motherboards that are less than 3 or 4 years old are using dual channel memory technology. This is why most ram you buy these days is in pairs.
My ram slots are colour-coded to make it easier to put the ram in the right slots for it to run dual channel. My first 2 modules go in the red slots and the 2nd two go in the yellow slots.
Check your motherboard manual for details on how to configure your ram into the right slots for it to run in dual channel.
