How to Prepare & Conduct a Video Interview : Using a Lapel Microphone for a Video Interview
Best External Mic To Use With Cannon HFS200 for Fitness Videos?
I bought a Cannon HFS200 and Azden SMX-10 Shotgun Mic. We originally planned on doing outdoor videos, but then decided to use it for shooting Fitness Videos indoors. However, either way there seems to be a roaring/static noise in the audio recording.
But, my question is this? What is the best type of external mic to use to get clear/professional sound without background noise for fitness videos? Lavalier? Shotgun? Boom? or what?
Thanks
Brandon
Check what many of the fitness video folks or active/dancing singers on stage use... a wireless headset boom mic...
Shure, Sennheiser, Audio Technica and AKG make good systems. UHF is best. Sorry, I have nothing good to say about Nady or Samson.
The headset uses a thin wire to plug into a battery powered body pack. The body pack transmits the audio wirelessly to it's base station mate. The base station plus into the camcorder - in your case, if you want more than one mic, then an XLR adapter (BeachTek or juicedLink) is appropriate.
I like the Audio-Technica ATW-2192a. It is small, unobtrusive and will not distract much from the wearer's face.
