Good Wireless systems for my guitar and their prices.?
I just joined a band and the lead guitar player and the bass player just bought wireless guitar/bass systems and they think i should get one too. I recently tried out a nady encore and i liked it when it was working . I'm looking primarily for a UHF system over the VFH because I heard it has more interference(so i hear). please help me out
UHF is best - along with full diversity (usually the give-away for that is twin antennas on the base station).
I have not had good experience with Nady - that was a few years ago - for your sake, I hope they are better now.
You did not tell us what instrument you are playing.
I have used Shure wireless instrument equipment and liked them - I use Shure Wireless SM58 mics - I currently have two Telex instrument systems (they don't make them any more) that I like a LOT. I would trust AKG and Audio Technica wireless instrument systems.
You are smart to go wireless - if you want to move around on the stage a lot, no wires to tangle with others on stage... and it is really fun to go out into the audience to play and dance.
ALWAYS carry a good, long 1/4" cable - just in case. You never know if the venue has odd RF characteristics and wireless interference is too bad to deal with.
