2 Mic inputs in Laptop for recording?
Hi all
me and my friend do some music recordings, just for fun. I sing, he plays acoustic guitar. I brought a vocals Mic. But it is highly cardioid and doesn't capture sound from surroundings which results in absolutely no sound of the acoustic guitar.
There is only one microphone input slot in my laptop, so can't use the other mic to capture guitar's sound. Need help so that how can I capture sound from 2 microphones (1 singing + 1 acoustic guitar) at the same time and record a song.
I am using Audacity for recording.
Please help.

Mixer n all hardware will cost a lot. I am a bit tight on budget. So isn't there a cheap way to do it. Please if you can give an idea on how much will the solution cost, that will be really really useful. thanks
Get a cheap mixer that you can plugs mics into then use a cable with 2 RCA plugs connected to the output of the mixer to a 1/8" stereo plug connected to the laptop mic input. This way you can also use headphones plugged into the mixer to mix the levels so the guitar doesn't over power the vocals.
