Does anyone know of a computer program alternative to rack equipment for audio or vocal processing?
I'm looking for a cheap alternative to expensive rack equipment for audio or vocal processing. Im wondering if it would be possible to use a microphone plugged into my computer or laptop without buying pre-amps, (preferably usb mic compatable,) and as i speak, my voice comes out of my speakers with effects such as reverb, delay, chorus, pitch correction, or an alternative to G-Snap or Auto-Tune for live use rather than pre-recording it.
I realize that a computer program wont be as high quality or as reliable as rack equipment, but im broke and just need it for fun, not for recording the next platinum record.
Does anyone know of such a program for windows? Free software would be most preferable, but if there aren't any, i'm open to suggestions.

Im looking for a LIVE audio processing program, not a recording program such as Audacity.

Aint gonna happen. It takes quality hardware no matter how you look at it. You CAN however buy professional cards to do this but you still need professional mics and pickups.
